Sr. Cost Accountant
Experienced Financial Analyst required to help develop and drive ongoing financial forecasts that incorporate standard costing methodologies. Individual must have a track record of being a change agent. A data driven analyst that enjoys mining, analyzing and organizing data into understandable and actionable information.
Overview of Job Duties:
Good understanding of standard cost accounting processes and methodologies required.
Preparation of annual budgets and on going forecasts.
Performs account analysis/reconciliations, month-end close and financial performance reporting for operations.
· Leads physical inventory processes.
· Supports and assists multiple remote facilities with costing, reporting and month-end close to insure timely reporting of monthly financial results.
· Develops ad hoc reports as required.
· Helps drive Capital Purchase analysis, justification and approval.
· Creates and validates product cost support.
· Assist in assuring Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
· Other analysis as required.
Requirements: This position requires a bachelor’s degree in business or accounting and a minimum of seven years accounting experience in a manufacturing environment. Excellent PC skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications are also required. ERP experience with knowledge of AS400 and JD Edwards a plus.
