Marketing/Communications Manager

Luxury yacht manufacturer seeks a dynamic individual to serve as marketing communications manager, responsible for handling all marine and major metro public relations initiatives, advertising planning, and coordination with the creative agency for marketing collateral.
Individual will work as part of a marketing team to develop the public relations and advertising strategy and execute the tactics within budget. This individual will write press releases, schedule interviews and product testing, update the web site with editorial and photography, coordinate photo shoots, and engage in events to enhance brand awareness. The marketing communications manager is responsible for developing relationships with key media and ensuring that content (text and photos) is executed properly to reflect the brand position and that all technical aspects of the product are accurate. This person will work with outside vendors as well as internal departments to maximize the effectiveness of product information, press coverage, and news updates to internal employees.
Individual should have superb communication, writing and project management skills, experience with developing a public relations and advertising plan to budget, and is socially enthusiastic to make new relationships with press, customers and the distribution network. We are seeking a well-balanced creative and results-oriented individual who is well organized and can work as part of a professional team. 3-5 years editorial, public relations, or journalism experience is necessary. Experience in luxury products and/or yachts also necessary. Familiarity with the Italian language a plus but not mandatory.
