Our client is a creator of market-leading engineered capital goods and support services for selected market segments. In each of their segments, they are the industry leader in market share, product innovation, and product support services. They have operations in more than 20 countries globally.



This position is responsible for the supply chain management of assigned goods and services, including total cost, scheduling and delivery, supplier quality and inventory performance. Additionally responsible for facilitating new product introductions including supplier development, transition planning and supply negotiations.

Develop/Implement supplier programs to drive improved inventory turns and maintain a continuous supply of material that supports the business needs.
Lead in the negotiation of agreements with suppliers to reduce total overall cost.
Lead the support New Product Introductions.
Monitor supplier performance on cost, delivery and quality objectives.
Identify new supplier/material opportunities.


Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering and CPM or APICS certification preferred. Preferably minimum of five years purchasing experience in a just in time manufacturing environment. Proven negotiation and supply chain management skills. Demonstrated project management and new product introduction skills. Possess a strong knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (Oracle preferred), Material Requirements Planning, and product component costing. Background in steel, plastics, electrical components and metal fabrication desired.
