Manager, Electrical Engineering


General Function:

To manage and lead (5 dir rpts) all electrical engineering resources to ensure the delivery of defect free products, services and information that meet our customer’s requirements through continuous improvement of our quality management system. This encompasses the need for assessing resources, interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees and resolving conflicts. To lead the effort in supplying state-of-the-art electrical components and/or processes.


Electrical Engineering Manager – Job Description


· Training of direct reports to enhance their technical and soft skills growth, as well as long term advancement .
· Leading continuous process improvements of BPM Machinery with respect to electrical design, cost reduction and related issues.
· Identification and implementation of electrical engineering standards e.g. CE Code (pertaining to EMC, EMI, LVD), NEC and Machinery Code.
· Successful completion of tasks, projects or objectives assigned by the Director CME and Manager PCS.
· Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
· Coordinate electrical related Customer Service functions with our customers.
· Other duties as assigned.

· Customers
· Service Department


Education:

Must have a MS degree as well as a BSEE with 5-years experience in related field, or BSEE with 8-years experience on Belvac Production Machinery. Must be proficient in AutoCad 2000 (or later). Must have good technical written communication skills. Must have good technical verbal presentation skills.




Experience:

The Electrical Engineering Manager will have a working knowledge in:

· Design, Issue & Implementation of electrical control systems for all Standard Product Machinery and Plastic Container System Machinery (PCS) to be collectively referred to as BPM Machinery.
· PLC Programming,
· CE Code as it pertains to EMC, EMI, LVD, and updates thereof.
· NEC and Machinery Code.
· Typical Microsoft Office software.
· ISO 9001 as it pertains to Belvac’s Quality Management System.
· Effective Management of Technical Professionals or Appropriate Training Thereof.
