JOB TITLE: Steel Leaderman
REQUIREMENTS:
•
Associate’s Degree or equivalent from two year college or technical college
•
Five (5)+ years related experience and/or training or
•
Equivalent combination of education and experience
•
Comprehensive knowledge of the steel department
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•
Directly in charge of production on the job site
•
Layout and fabrication of metal structural parts such as plates, bulkheads, decks, and frames
•
Ensure job sites, particularly those involving combustible material, are safe and when required, hot work
•
Determines material needs and orders accordingly
•
Lend technical assistance to subordinates
RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to the Steel Superintendent
